Fonality Knowledge Base - Welcome!

Welcome to the PBXtra help wiki!  Fonality has introduced this new wiki technology to meet the following three objectives:

• Provide Symptom-based solutions.  The articles within our new wiki target the major How Tos of any new installation.
• Provide Enterprise search capabilities.  Great documentation is useless if you can't find it!
• Support Video Tutorials.  Seeing and hearing is the best way to communicate information.
  

You can use the navigation menu located immediately to the left of this page in order to search for information by category.  The categories presented reflect the major categories of the Fonality Admin Panel and Fonality Software.  

For example, if you need assistance adding a new extension to your PBXtra , click on Extensions --> add extension at left in order to locate step-by-step instructions - just like the Fonality Admin Panel!

One thing to be aware of about the navigation menu is that it automatically collapses higher-level categories.  You can tell at a glance your exact location within the wiki by checking the directory path located underneath 'Print Page'.  Click on any part of the path in order to jump to that section.  

For example, if you navigate to Fonality Knowledge Base - Welcome! > IP Phones > Softphone > How do I install a Softphone?, you will notice that the navigation bar at left collapses so that only the pages under the category 'Softphone' display.  Clicking 'IP Phones' in the path above will take you instantly to the IP Phones category and the navigation bar at left displays all articles within 'IP Phones'.

You can also use the search field at left in order to quickly locate information.  For instances, if you aren't sure about Caller ID (in general, how to use it, where to set it up, etc.), you can type 'Caller ID' and receive a list of pages sorted by relevancy.  You can even perform more complex searches like 'How do I transfer a call using HUD?' and find exactly the page you need instantly!
